Whatever and Whatnot May 15

Spring is coming!!
THE PROMPT: Bloom Where You're Planted
ie: count your blessings
THE STUFF: Scrapbooking flower embelishments ie: prima flowers, stickers
THE TECHNIQUE: paint/stamp/stain the flowers

GLENDA

I incorporated one of the Somerset Memories artist papers into my background and then used alot of paint and glitter to make it blend in. Since there were already 2 dandelions on the paper I just stamped my flowers on top of them. This gave me a chance to use these flower stamps that I had never used before. Just looking at this page makes me happy!

LINDA

This started out totally different then the result is. I think there is 4 different layers of scrap paper decorated with flowers. At the end I used some Prima flowers and then everything was covered with white gesso before I used some Dylusions spray. I've also used some pink Pan Pastell with a Dylusions flower mask. I used my pink Zig pen to draw around the lines of the Prima flowers.

SUSAN

I used my giant Heidi Swapp flowers for mask. A few Prima's too. Watercolor background, glimmer mist & then water colors to accent/doodle my flowers.

RACHEL

I have been busy helping to start up a farmer's market in my area... last week was the first market, and I bought myself a huge bundle of peony stems... I thought the photo I took of them was fitting for this challenge.

Now it's your turn!!
The rules:

  1. Use all three or just one or two parts of the prompts.
  2. MAKE THEM YOURS. These prompts are IDEAS. They are not set in stone. I do encourage you to stretch yourself. If you find a prompt doesn't speak to you, think on it. Find a way to MAKE it speak to you, and go with that.
  3. There is NO right or wrong.
  4. Share your feedback positively. ABSOLUTELY no judging of what others share. (If I find that people aren't following this rule, I will remove links left by that person.)
  5. This is a place for you to explore! It doesn't matter if you've just gotten here in the middle of the year, or if you've gotten "behind" and don't create every day. It doesn't matter if you don't create at ALL... (although we'd love it if you do)
