Howdy! My name's Christi, and I live in the glamorous state of Indiana. We'd move to someplace that's actually warm more than 2 months out of the year, but most of our family is here...so, I guess we'll stay.
WHAT ARE TWO PLACES YOU GET JOURNALING INSPIRATION FROM?
Everywhere! I'm inspired by colors in nature, patterns on home decor, music, clothing, product packaging, commercials...oh. Whoops. That was more than two.
WHAT DO YOU FIND TOUGHEST TO JOURNAL ABOUT?
Hmmm...probably my childhood/teenage years. I had such a low self-esteem...sometimes I wish I could go back and hug myself and tell myself how amazing I am! I always get choked up thinking of the fragile girl I once was. And still kind of am.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT?
I always love learning new techniques...especially with paint! I hope to expand my paint collection this year, so expect to see lots and lots of color on my pages.
ARE YOU PUBLISHED? HAVE OTHER BRAGS?
I don't believe I've ever been published. If you know differently, please tell me! Of course, I'm sure submitting helps...

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF...
I'm a mildly medicated mother of four and work part-time at night in an industrial bakery packing Thomas English Muffins. I live in a dinky apartment with my husband of over 14 years, our kids, and our 2 pet rats. I drink a pot of coffee every day. Our oldest child will be a teenager this year, and our baby will start kindergarten, but the one thing that finally made me feel old is my stupid pinky toe that decided to grow a double-thick nail! Like a crusty old grandma toenail! Aaaargh!!! Also, I use humor and sarcasm a lot. And I love horror movies. That's about it.
WHAT ARE THREE UNKNOWN THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF?
1. I'm a detail person. The one that WILL notice if you sneak a fart and do that little glance around to see if anyone noticed. And I'll probably give you a subtle fist-bump.
2. I just realized I don't know how to spell "subtle." Thanks, Firefox spell check!
3. I love numbers...and math, as long as it doesn't involve volume or logarithms (which, apparently, I DO know how to spell) and I have a calculator nearby.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GET FROM A YEAR IN THE LIFE?
Maybe some new friendships? I dunno, is that too much to hope for? I'm an optimist.

Well, since almost everyone else said "inspiration," I'm gonna go with...herpes? Ha, just kidding! I'll say humor. Definitely not herpes. That would suck.
WHAT'S ONE THING YOU WISH YOU HAD LISTENED TO THAT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN YOU STARTED IN JOURNALING SOONER?
That it's okay to keep and even share the pages I think are crap! Sometimes, I just like to try a technique, and it really turns out like total shite. Hey, it happens. And that's okay. Sometimes it's about the journey, not the destination. I want my art journal to be like that. Yeah. !
